Week 1

Wow... People are not kidding when they say make it to Sunday or that the first week is the hardest. It is so challenging, but it blesses you in ways that you didn't even think you could be blessed ^.^ This past week so much has happened that I don't know if I'll fit it all in, but here is my attempt... My companion is Sister Troxel from Seattle, Washington who loves running (woohoo for companion exercise time) and has an amazing testimony.

Sister Rindlisbacher and Sister Troxel

When I first met her it felt like I was meeting her again... I haven't quite figured out who she reminds me of, but I'll let you know if I do. In my district there are 4 elders and 4 sisters.

Left to right: Elder John, Elder Remmington, Elder Wansgard, and Elder Harris

They are all so young and I feel so old... all. the. time. Elder John and Harris just graduated a week or two before coming to the MTC so they're still babies. Elder Remmington and Wansgard went to a semester of college before coming out to serve. It is amazing to see how much they have grown in just the week that I have known them. Our district is awesome and I am learning so much from each person. The next picture is of our entire district.

At first our district was really quiet and we all kept to ourselves, but the struggle of this past week has brought us all together and now it's hard to get everyone to focus. Everyone except Sister Hilliard and I are learning Korean for the first time. It is amazing to see their progress in such a short period with the language. It also makes me wish that I had been more diligent when taking Korean at BYU. It is so frustrating knowing what I want to testify of and not being able to say it in Korean. We have taught our first investigator about 4 times and it is so hard! Not being able to bear my testimony or answer his questions because I don't know how to in Korean is so frustrating! But it is great motivation for me to learn Korean. Moving on... here are the beautiful sisters in my district.

Having so many amazing people around me is such a blessing. You can't find the atmosphere that you get here at the MTC anywhere else. The teachers are wonderful and the devotionals are absolutely AMAZING! On Sunday we had Richard L. Heaton from the Quorum of the Seventy come. He talked mostly about converts and he had a few recent converts who are missionaries share their conversion story. It was amazing to see how the Lord knows each of us individually. He really does prepare those that we are going to find and teach. Afterwards we watched the Character of Christ by David A. Bednar. If you can find this somewhere you MUST WATCH IT! It has blown my mind and inspired me to do everything in my power to become like my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that this gospel is true and that Heavenly Father knows and loves each of us individually. I am so grateful for the people that I have met and those I will meet later on. Hope you are all having a wonderful week. My p-day is on Wednesday so I'll write you all next week. Love you all!
